The Wilmslow Running Festival returned to its usual March slot with spring sunshine, daffodils and nice running conditions. There are the popular Half Marathon and the newer 10K route to choose from with 33 Macc Harriers taking on the Half Marathon and 12 taking on the 10K. The in form Rob Whitby (1:13:22) led the way in the Half Marathon for the Macc Harriers closely followed by Allen Bunyan (1:14:33) with the two placing 30 and 36 respectively in a strong field. For the women Macc Harrier Lindsay Purdie (1:37:09) led the way with Lynda Cook (1:40:55) close behind. In the 10K Kristy Gill (42:15) was the fasted Macc Harrier placing 7th female overall. Kristy was closely followed by Steve Lomas (42:41) who just pipped Gareth Stockdale (42:45) for first male Macc Harrier. Second female Macc Harrier was Sue Stockdale (44:57). The women Macc Harriers also won the 10K team prize with the times of Kristy, Sue and Kathryn Hutchinson counting for the prize. As usual there were many more great times had by all the Macc Harriers that ran. Their times are listed below with a link to the full results, great running everyone!!
