The first race of the year in our Club Road Running Championships, the Essar Four Villages Half Marathon took place on Sunday Jan 21th. 23 Macclesfield Harriers took to running round Helsby and surrounding villages in rather blustery but surprisingly mild conditions (for January!) Great running from everybody, including a collection of PB performances. The top three male places were claimed by Robert Whitby (1:16:04), Ciaran Wright (1:20:29) and Ewan Edmondson (1:22:39). Sue Stockdale ran an impressive race crossing the finish line as the first Macclesfield Harrier Lady, (1:37:21), followed by Amy Dalton (1:37:59) and Egg Cameron (1:42:11). Special mention for Harry Newton (2:36:55) who took the V85 prize.
