Seven Macclesfield Harriers took part in the Crewe 10k on Easter Sunday. The race, consisting of two fast 5k laps, is known for its quick course and attracted a strong field of runners as part of the Cheshire Road Grand Prix series.
Faye Sharpley was the first Macclesfield Harriers lady across the line, finishing in a time of 39:41. She was closely followed by Kristy Readman, who completed the race in 41:28. Both ladies will have gained invaluable points for the individual standings in the Cheshire Road Grand Prix as Faye collected the bronze medal while Kristy was only one place behind her in fourth!
On the men’s side, Matt Lynas led the way with a time of 37:19. He was followed by Graeme Eddie (40:39), and Peter Youds (42:33). With Ray O’Keefe and Andy Thorp also recording great times, the men’s team will have scored invaluable points in the Cheshire Road Grand Prix team standings!
