The club fund raising to support Rob Hasler & his family after Rob’s MND (Motor Neurone Disease) diagnosis in October 2024 started at the annual AGM & Awards evening with a raffle. For those that don’t know Rob and his family and want to know more, they appeared on the BBC local news recently – CLICK HERE to see the item on the BBC.
Rob and Saranya Hasler and their 2 boys have been active club members for many years and the club is keen to support them in any way possible as Rob’s condition changes.
The raffle has been very successful with a number of local businesses and club members providing generous prizes. Raffle tickets were available ‘online’ (as a number of people could not attend the evening) and also at the AGM.
The ‘online’ raffle tickets generated an amazing £2,000 and another £426 was collected at the AGM evening making a superb total of £2,426 that all goes to Rob’s GOFUNDME page. Once again, thank you to all the businesses and people who generously donated prizes and also a big ‘thank you’ to everyone that bought tickets.
