Yes, we all know Parkrun is not about racing but having a little friendly competition every so often isn’t so bad? So on Saturday the Road Running Championship series took in our popular and challenging local Parkrun in South Park. There were 40 Macc Harriers who came along to either have a go at beating their other club members or to just have an easy run and watch the others suffer. For the men Rob Wood (17:31) led the whole field taking first place. Behind Rob there was a real tussle for the next three places with the young Matthew Walker (18:43, course PB) keeping the less young James Noakes (18:46) and James Perry (18:54, course PB) at bay. For the women Angela Markley (20:50) led the way as first female Macc Harrier and first female overall. Angela was followed by Hanna Graves (22:07) and Sue Stockdale (22:17, course PB).
