Now that we are continuing to live our lives alongside the Covid virus, I thought it was appropriate to write an update based on the lessons we have learned over the last 2 years.
Whether you are training or competing, stay safe, be vigilant, stay healthy, and only come to Harriers events if you are fit and COVID free. We wish to continue to operate in small groups and by pre booking a slot with a group.
Set your sights on goals for 2022 – there is plenty of choice of events.
All sections have issued events lists that can be found on the club website.
In addition for T&F – there are two coaching sessions booked for the 26 Mar and 2 April.
Then there is an open meeting on 23 April at the track covering ALL age groups, over a range of events, before we start the outdoor league meetings in May.
We are also due to be the hosts for the Cheshire County Championships on the 14/15 May.
We plan to hold the Club AGM and presentation evening on Fri 1st April 2022 at the Rugby Club – more details to follow.
In addition to the various discipline category winners, do not forget there are nominations for special awards, so please do not delay to act during the rest of February (here is the link).
As always I need to seek more volunteers to help with the running of the club. So if you have the enthusiasm and time there are opportunities. These range from helping at races and events, to nominated officers of the club. The more we spread the load, the easier it will be to run the club successfully. Our thanks to everybody who does already give rather than just assume things happen. At my last count there were at least 80 active unpaid volunteers across our diverse club.
We remain financially stable and invitations to renew your membership are already available through the club website.
So let us continue to rebuild and grow through 2022.
Thanks,
Bob Lynch
Club President
