Introducing Macclesfield Harrier & Group Run Leader, Lynne Graves
Q1: When did you start running?
Lynne: I started running in 2009. I did a 5k race for life with my boss, which at the time seemed a very long distance and took alot of training for.
Q2: How long have you been a Macclesfield Harrier?
Lynne: I joined the Harriers in 2010. After running London marathon, I bumped into Dave Jackson and he encouraged me to join.
Q3: What has been your favourite race and why?
Lynne: My 1st London marathon, in 2010. I loved the party atmosphere and felt it was a massive achievement , I had muddled through the training on my own because at the time I didn’t know anyone else who ran at that time.
Q4: What does running mean to you?
Lynne: I can’t imagine not running now. I’ve made loads of lovely friends through joining the harriers. It’s great for a mood boost and add a way of being able to eat more cake.
Q5: Do you have a top tip for other runners?
Lynne: Just enjoy it, whether you are fast and chasing PBS or just like to tootle along, savor it and make lots of lovely memories.
