London Marathon Club Places

Posted on 02/12/2024
Macclesfield Harriers & AC has been awarded two places for next year’s London Marathon, taking place on Sunday, April 27th. All those who are interested in claiming one of these places must contact Owain Morris via the club website (https://macclesfield-harriers.co.uk/contact-macclesfield-harriers-road-running-section/) or email  by 11.59pm on Saturday, December 14th. A draw for all eligible participants will then be held at the club house at 6.15pm on Tuesday, December 17th.
To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a First Claim competing member on the date that LM announce the club allocation criteria. You must also be over 18 on the marathon date (LM rule and allocation based on number of competing members aged 18 or over).
2. Have been a competing member for the current and previous year
3. Have entered the public ballot and not got a place and provide evidence of rejection
4. It must be at least 3 years since you last had a ballot place (public or club) or GFA place. A charity place does not count against this.
5. You must have volunteered in a meaningful capacity for the club during the current season. Eligibility will be determined by the Road Running Manager.

Good luck to you all!
