We must all be mad.
What prompts us to get out of bed and battle their way through floods to the start, to run up and down hills whilst wading streams and jumping over bits of tree, and then trying to dry out and warm up over a brew and cake afterwards? Or to stand at the tops of said hills to watch you all (not to mention the many people who helped out in lots of other ways)?
Whilst we had more than usual no shows we even had a few folk choose to enter on the day !!
Well, whatever the reason, Rossendale will, I know, be very glad you all came along.
I was really pleased that everyone seemed to tackle the race (which is, er, quite tough…) with a great spirit and cheery smile ! and for the kind words at the finish and since by email.
The results are here as a spreadsheet or pdf file. Surprisingly, our winner Martin Dawson from North Derbyshire broke last year’s course record, and our first lady Macclesfield’s own Alannah Birtwistle also ran faster than she did last year !
If you’re a prize winner and didn’t get your prize, please do get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
There should be some photos of most of you here..

I thought I’d wait until we’ve done the sums before I posted this: so I’m pleased to tell you that thanks to everyone’s generosity the race has raised £3000 for Rossendale
So many thanks to everyone who supported the race in any way, you know who you are and you’re all heroes !
Lost property consists of one pair of black shorts (still black, but slightly less so, after being washed).
Next year I might find some waterproof numbers: that should ensure we get wall to wall sunshine.
Cheers Julian, Dave, Fran, Colin, Damian, Jo, Kath and Jon, your not Langley Not 7 team.
