The 2023 Inter County Cross Country Championships were held at Prestwold Hall. The course was extremely muddy in places, due to the heavy snowfall the week leading up to race.
Macclesfield Harriers had good representation across the various age groups.
The top four Cheshire team scorers finishing 10th overall in the U13B were all Macclesfield Harriers; Jake Ireland 37th, Thomas Wood 41st, George O’Donnell 51st & Bobby Tomlinson 95th.
In the U15 boys race representing Cheshire, Michael Wood finished 122nd and 4th scorer & Jared Dickenson 186th. Both ran very well in really tough conditions.
In the U17W race, Emma Johnson, competing for Derbyshire, had a fine run to finish 83rd and 2nd scorer for her team. For the U17M, Aadi Whitlock finished 167th and 5th team scorer for Cheshire.
Three Macclesfield seniors also gained Cheshire vests, with Faye Sharpley and Karen Heppenstall in the Senior Ladies and John Carr in the Senior Men all running very well.
