Congleton parkrun #625

Posted on 2 hours ago

The mercury hit the heady heights of 12°C, leggings were replaced with shorts, and gloves were completely dispensed with. On a warm Saturday morning in February, Macclesfield Harriers headed to the tropical shores of Astbury Mere for the latest event in the Road Running Club Championship, Congleton parkrun #625.

The fastest two men and the fastest woman across the finish line were all Macclesfield Harriers. George O’Donnell finished in an impressive time of 17:04 and was followed by Josh Hughes 25 second later. Kristy Thorp was the fastest lady, completing the course in a time of 20:19.

Of the twenty Macclesfield Harriers at Congleton on Saturday, four took part in this event for the first time. They were Olly Cook, Carl Barnard, Ian Humphreys, and Rebecca Humphreys. A further four athletes recorded new course PBs. Well done to George O’Donnell, Josh Hughes, Tom Shirley, and Gwilym Chambers!

Congratulations to all for your performances at Congleton parkrun! Full results are available here.
