There were cows, horses and the usual “Sting in the tail” at Sunday’s Congleton Half marathon. Great conditions met the 20 Macc Harriers that ran with some excellent performances all around. Typical of recent races Rob Whitby (1:17:50) led the way for the Macc Harriers with another top 10 finish placing 7th overall. Rob was followed by Arran McCloskey (1:28:12) and Malcolm Fowler (1:29:23) who also took the first V55 prize. For the woman Faye Sharpley (1:29:44) had a great race placing 3rd woman overall. Sue Stockdale (1:41:42), in her first half marathon in a long time, was second female Macc Harrier and 19th woman overall. Rounding off the top three female Harriers was Amy Carr (1:45:28) who was 24th woman overall. As usual there were many other great times had by Macc Harriers with their times listed below along with links to the full results and photos from the race. Great running everyone!
