It’s cross country time again!!

It may be glorious summer weather outside, but that will no doubt all change shortly and it will be time to think about the forthcoming 2022/2023 cross country season.
Cross country may be new to some members but it really is an event for ALL runners of ALL Abilities and ALL age groups. Whilst you enter as an individual for the races, it is very much a team event, often requiring six athletes to finish a race to score as a team. The more runners who enter the better. The bonus is that it will help you improve your performance in other disciplines such as track and road, it works for the world’s best so it can work for you! It’s also good fun.
Once you’ve entered all you need is your number, a pair of trail, fell shoes or cross country spikes, a Harrier’s vest and your normal running gear.
The club will once again be competing in two local leagues. The Manchester Area League (http://maccl.co.uk ) and The North Staffs League (http://www.nsccl.org.uk ) plus the opportunity to run at the country, regional and national championships towards the end of the season.
