Hi everyone.
This is my first post as Club Statistician after receiving the baton from Jim Rowley.
Thanks again to Jim for all his hard work and inspiring posts over the last few years.
This year has been quite unusual from a club records perspective. There were lots of brand new club records for U10, U12, U14, U16 & U18, following the junior age group changes on 1st April. Also, the existing club records for U11, U13, U15 and U17 will remain, unchallenged forever.
I thought long and hard this summer about sticking with the existing process where athletes are expected to submit a ‘Claim a Record’ form on our website. But, for the 2026 outdoor season only, I decided to pre-populate the club records with all of the data I have for the best junior athlete performances between April and September. I can’t promise I’ve included every performance, as I don’t know every ‘open’ event or championship that athletes have entered, so please let me know if I’ve missed any potential records.
Please click the link below for details of all the new Club Records covered in the September 2026 update.
A full list of all the current Club Records can be downloaded from our website here:
From now on, athletes and parents should use the ‘Claim a Record’ form below to claim a new record:
NB: Please note that any records claimed must appear on Power of 10, or similar verified results database, otherwise they are not eligible.
Please keep those records coming and good luck to everyone for the upcoming indoor athletics and cross-country seasons.
