Our 2026 Road Running Championship kicked off with the hilly Four Villages Half Marathon. It rained from start to finish and all competitors got a thorough soaking. However, this didn’t stop our members from recording impressive times!
21 Macclesfield Harriers made the trip to Helsby and three of our members completed the course in less than 80 minutes! Rob Whitby was the first Harrier across the finish line in exactly 75 minutes. He was followed by Mark Walker in 1:15:24, and Ciaran Wright in 01:17:13.
Our fastest lady was Helen Saunders in a time of 01:40:28. She was followed by Sue Stockdale in 01:43:36, and Vicks Jackson in 02:00:07.
Three club members placed in the top three in their age categories. Harry Newton was first MV85, Matt Lynas was 2nd MV55, and Mark Walker was 3rd MV45. Well done all!
