Monday evening July 21st the heavens opened up with some heavy rain for the start of the annual Summer Road Handicap. A fun event for everyone where you try to predict your time on a 4.6mile route from the track without the use of any electronic devices. Twenty one runners made either a quite good, or not so good, prediction of their times. While both the runners and marshals got pretty soaked by the heavy rain they were all rewarded with a sunny finish which brought our an amazing double rainbow. The best prediction and winner of the event was David Chambers who was only one second off his predicted time. Hearing that there was a booby prize for the worst prediction I think sparked Mark Godden to put in a ridiculous time just to get the booby prize. In any case fun was had by all whether they were close or quite far form their predicted time. Below are the final results with predicted time, actual time and time difference. Well done everyone!!
