For the first time in a few years, the summer edition of the Wilmslow 10k was not raced in blazing heat. However, the cool conditions didn’t stop 20 Macclesfield Harriers from recording red-hot finish times. This is a course with huge PB potential as apart from the hill at the 8th kilometre, the course is flat and there are also pacers at 2 and a half minute intervals! Congratulations to all who turned up for some fantastic racing.
Eva Mion was our fastest lady and the 2nd quickest U20 lady overall, finishing a whisker away from the 40-minute mark in an impressive time of 40.01, while Emma Galleymore (48.34) and Joanne Foster (52.26) were our 2nd and 3rd quickest ladies, respectively. Our three fastest men all recorded lightening quick times with Ewan Edmondson completing in 36.21, Ciaran Wright in 35.18, and Ben Greene coming in as the fastest Harrier in a time of 34.18. Congratulations also to Finlay Pettie who was the 5th fastest U20 male, and to Harry Newton who was not only the quickest V85 but also the quickest V80 male!
