For 2025 we had 33 runners and various spot prizes.
It was a lovely crisp morning with two icy areas, a small one at the turn from Whistons onto Meg lane and a larger one around a large puddle in front of Thickwithens farm. The other interesting obstacle was an open farm gate marked by a traffic cone and we added a straight on sign at the side up the road for runners. Some runners encountered a tractor.
Our marshals were locals Neil Bates and Bailey his dog, Helen Walker, Chris Pattison, Steve Mott and cowbell queen Kathleen O’Donnell at the top of the hill.
George O’Donnell was on hand at the finish line.
Some of the Murray clan made it with star performances (Declan and Beth 1st male and female respectively). I trust they made it back in time to help Barbara with xmas grandchildren entertainment.
Thankfully we had Ian Humphries as our designated group leader to fulfil our insurance requirements. The brilliant Mr and Mrs Santa Claus suits made it a colourful event.
