DESCRIPTION:A relay event set in the Lee Mill Quarry site\, for teams of four runners. All four runners will run individual over a 10.7k flagged course. \nBased in Rossendale\, Lancashire\, running from Stubbylee Hall OL13 0DE – Sunday 24th November 10am start. \nTeams of four\, men\, ladies or mix. \nClubs can enter teams\, but not have to declare the individual runners till nearer race date. \nPlease note\, team captains\, this is a hard and demanding route\, possibly run in wintery conditions\, please ensure your runners are aware the risk involved. \nFull kit including full waterproof bodycover\, hat\, gloves\, compass and whistle must be carried. Stringent kit check will be made to all competitors. A map of the course will be provided on registering. \nEntry £28 team \n120 team limit with wait list \nEntries on the Day will be taken if limit is not reached.

DESCRIPTION:The annual Rainow 5 is back for 2025. Wednesday 7th May 2025. \nBackground about the event can be found here… Rainow 5 \nPlease collect your race number from registration in the Rainow Village Institute (opposite Robin Hood pub) from 6pm onwards. Bags can be left here (no valuables to be left). Bring your own safety pins please. All runners must display their race number. The race starts at 7:30pm very close to the Institute building. \nThe race is run under FRA regulations – as such be prepared to have FRA kit – a recommended minimum for this race is a waterproof top. The race route map and GPX file is available on the race website here (Rainow 5)\nIt is your responsibility to know the route (its on footpaths) – there will be marshals on each junction. Note the race is 5 miles (not 5K!). After collecting your number\, if you do not start or do not complete the race it is essential you let a marshal or the race registration team know.  There will be a “sweeper” at the back of the runners.
