SUMMARY:2024 Peris Horseshoe - High Fell Series
DESCRIPTION:British champs so will sell out! Half course option will also count. Entries via tbc \nOne of the classic Welsh Fell Races. Saturday 21st Sept 2023 \nRegistration/HQ will be at Padarn Lake Hotel\, Llanberis \nStarts: 10.30am Half Peris & ‘Early’ Full Peris\, 11am Full Peris.  \nFull Peris 28km 2600m ascent Summit 9 peaks Elidir Fawr (924 m) • Y Garn (947 m) • Glyder Fawr (1\,001 m) • Lliwedd Bach (818 m) • Y Lliwedd (898 m) • Snowdon – Yr Wyddfa (1\,085 m) • Bwlch Glâs (998 m) • Clogwyn Llechwedd-Llo (600 m) • Moel Cynghorion (674 m) \nHalf Peris 13km 1375m 3 peaks Elidir Fawr (924 m) • Y Garn (947 m) • Glyder Fawr (1\,001 m) Finish at Pen y Pas and catch the bus back to llanberis. \nBoth Full and Half Peris are a brilliant challenge with incredible views of Eryri through out. These are serious fell races\, taking in steep and rocky terrain\, as well as providing a fantastic challenge they do require some serious preparation (following a road 10km training programme probably wont cut it!) Marshals will be on the summits\, navigation required between check points. Following other runners is fine in clear weather but if it’s cloudy and visibility is poor the use of compass and map is required\, so brush up on your navigation skills as well as your mountain fitness before race day!
