DESCRIPTION:Doctors Gate fell race – 25th February 2024\n\nStart at 11 am for men & women\nOnline entry: £10.00 plus £1 booking fee\nEntry on the day: £13.00\nMinimum age: 18\nSkills & experience: ER\, PM\, LK\nEntries close at midnight on Friday 23rd February.\nThis race has a Permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA\n\n\nThe route starts and finishes at the Queen’s Arms\, Shepley Street in Old Glossop. \nStarting from The Queens Arms in Old Glossop\, Doctors Gate is a 12.7 mile fell race with nearly 3000 ft of scent. The route takes you along the old packhorse route out of Old Glossop to where it meets the Pennine Way\, before heading to Higher Shelf Stones\, then on to Lower Shelf Stones. After returning to Doctors Gate\, the route then climbs James Thorn\, via Shelf Benches\, before returning to Old Glossop via Dog Rock\, Torside Clough and Cock Hill. \nPre-entries will close by midnight on the 19th February. \nThere will be food provided at the finish\, with a presentation and prizes at the end.
