More success for Macclesfield Harriers in Indoor Championships

Many congratulations to new member Hilary West who gained a silver and bronze medal at the British Masters Indoor Championships at Lee Valley last weekend.  Hilary won silver in the W55 400m in a time of 76.48 secs and a bronze in the 200m in 33.87secs, setting a club record in the 200m.  Hilary also finished 4th in the 800m in another club age group record time of 2 min 53.91s.  We look forward to welcoming Hilary to the track team in the summer and hope her performances will inspire others to try out some new track events.

"Tick" alert

Just a warning that there are 'ticks' about in the long grass around the trail and football pitches at the moment. So, long socks may be a good idea for training and always have a good look at your legs after the session to make sure you have not been bitten. If you have got a 'tick bite' it is a good idea to seek medical advice (pharmacy or doctor).
