Limited Track Training - Thursday 5th Feb

Limited training will take place on Thursday evening the 5th Feb. The track remains icy, and it is not expected to improve much in the next 36hours. The roadway just inside the gates is treacherous, so please walk either side on the grass.

Wear warm clothing and please bring spikes as well as trainers. Training will take place on the path round the outside of the track, along the roadway and track training will be limited to running in a straight line, interspersed with conditioning training inside the clubhouse.

Please note that in future we will try to announce any decisions to cancel training at the track due to adverse weather on the club website, forums and Facebook by 4.00pm (assuming that there are club volunteers available to update the website and Facebook). So, if you think that the weather conditions are not good please check the website or Facebook after 4.00pm.

Mini T&F Competition and 2014 T&F Awards

On Saturday 20th September, the club's Track and Field season came to an end with a mini competition followed by the presentation of awards.

Despite being a cloudy day there was a good turnout across all ages from Under 11's through to Seniors and Masters (which is the category for anyone over 35). It was lovely to see the youngsters cheering on the oldest competitor on the day (aged 69!) in the mile race. Also, some of the seniors were trying out some new field events that they had last attempted when they were at school. Hopefully this will have inspired some to step forward to compete for the club at the Track & Field League meetings next year.

The results from the day have been collated - CLICK HERE.
