Potteries 10 Miler Race Report 2017

The Potteries 10 Mile race was run on Sunday where 12 Harriers negotiated the fast two lap course that began and finished at the the Bet365 stadium, home to Stoke City. The race also incorporated a 3 Nations Champoinship where runners could run in their countries colours. As ever there were some excellent performances from Macc Harriers who took on this challenging distance.

Mixed Ability Relay (February 2017)

The annual 'mixed ability track relay' saw 30 runners out in teams of 5.The atmosphere was brilliant with people able to chat to runners from different groups while they waited for their turn to run a lap. The winning team ran 37 laps which is 14.8km. This is an average of 6m35s/mile pace....and there was cake, lots of cake...

Alsager 5 2017 Race Report

Another dry, cool and calm day was in store for runners who took the short trip south for the flat and fast Alsager 5, perfect conditions for some quick times by Macc Harriers. A total of 38 Harriers completed the race, with the ever present support of Bob Lynch and Steve Lomas spurring many of the runners on to PBs.

February Road Running Update

As the light, but not the warmth, is starting to return it’s time to start thinking about signing up for road races for the coming season. A number of local races have already sold out including the High Legh 10K, Poynton Village 10K and the Mobberley Round the Runway 5 mile race in May, so if you are interested in entering some of the other local races that usually sell out, now is the time to do it to avoid disappointment. The races below, which are part of our Club Road Running Championship, are still open for entries but almost always sell out. So get signed up now so you have some goals for training and so you don’t miss out on running a race when it finally gets warmer!
