The Famous Langley 7 Road Race is being held on November 5th (Saturday) start time 2pm. The race has over 200 entries and looks to be a sell out once again. 

However it can only take place with YOUR help as marshals, tea makers, cake makers, car park attendants and the rest.

2016 Macc Half, 5k & Fun Run Race Report

The 15th Macclesfield Half Marathon and 5th 5K races took place in sunshine and showers on Sunday 25th September. There were a total of 562 finishers in the Half Marathon and a record 220 finishers in the 5K race as well as over 90 children in the Fun Run.

Macc Half T-Shirts

There are a few 2016 Macc Half t-shirts left over from the race. These are Ronhill technical t-shirts (men and women's fit, S, M, L) and can be purchased for ÂŁ6 each (this is a donation to the race).

They are located upstairs - you can probably pick them up at training on Tuesday or Thursday if anybody has time to find them and take the money!

Macc Half, 5k & Fun Run - thanks to all the volunteers

A huge thank you to all the Macclesfield Harriers’ volunteers who helped make the 2016 Macclesfield Half Marathon such a big success on Sunday, it is you that make this such a special event. It was a bit damp out on the course at times and no runners overheated this year. The feedback has been brilliant from runners and spectators alike and Macclesfield Harriers can be very proud to be the driving force behind one of the biggest events in the town. We had over 560 finishers in the Half Marathon, a record 221 in the 5K and a record 90 youngsters in the fun-run. The Pace-Runners were bang on schedule and many PB’s ensued.  A full race report is attached and more details can be found on the website and loads of pictures on the club Facebook Page.

Macc Half - a call for cakes!

Raising money for three great local charities, MH & AC are again hosting the Half Marathon and 5k races. This year the event takes place on Sunday 25th September. We are hoping to welcome over 1000 runners plus their many supporters and this means lots of cake!

For 2016 members of D group will be managing the catering for the event and also providing a small post-race buffet for all the volunteer helpers and VIP guests.

It would be massively appreciated if you could bake cakes, pastries, biscuits etc. to sell by the team on the day. Contributions need to be at the clubhouse on Saturday 24th between 12 – 1.30 or dropped off on Sunday 25th September from 8.30am
