Langley 7 Needs You!

The Langley 7 is one of the keynote events in the Macclesfield Harriers race calendar and it depends on volunteers for its continuing success.  This is your chance to put something back into the sport.  If you are a willing and enthusiastic person we need you.  The race is on Saturday November 4th. We need people to fill a variety of roles so if you aren't running then here's your chance to have a laugh at those who are:

 - marshalls at start, finish, car parking and out on the course

 - someone to help with registration and entries on the day

 - someone with keyboard skills to input results on computer (we have software that pulls out prize categories, all you have to do is press a button)

please contact either Colin Ardron (Race Organiser) on 01625 613158 or 07754198244 or Dave Jackson (especially for marshalls) on 01625 263897

Anglesey Marathon Win for Nicky Le Good

Nicky Le Good, running as a member of the EquiRun Team and also, of course, a Macclesfield Harrier, won the women's race of the Anglesey Marathon on 24 September in a superb 3 hours and 10 minutes.  Jenny Slee, also a Macc. Harrier and EquiRun team member, knee seized up at 21 miles and was driven home by medic van.  She hopes to do better if she gets a place in the London Marathon!
