Bob has asked me to pass this information on to all runners.

"We are being asked to park at the Whitefields car park which is 500m further up the B5152 past the station and Delamere access road. This car park will be manned and then people will be directed across the busy road and through the wooded area to the start finish area.

Car parking will cost and the meters only accept coins (bring ÂŁ4 to be safe).

Registration is close to the start finish from a cabin in the wardens storage compound.

Some of us have gone round the course. It is going to be testing and I would recommend good trail shoes for anyone running the large laps. The u/11s may prefer spikes as their course is mainly flat and across the fields and first wooded area. None of it is going to be easy- there is a an initial dash (!) across two fields, then a double back thro a wooded muddy area. Then if you are doing the large lap it is a steep winding climb up a trail, followed by a steep decent (caution!) back down into two fields before going round again!"

Cheers, good luck everyone, and see you Saturday.

Rob

Cross Country season underway !

We had an excellent turnout - but rather mixed weather, leading to an unusually heavy course - at Winsford for the first XC race of the season on Saturday.

Some great performances, with four individual winners and two team wins among the age groups.

Full results are here... http://www.nsccl.org.uk/results/2017/NSCCL%202017%20race%201%20results.pdf

And Bryan's photos of you all here... http://www.racephotos.org.uk/

Well run everyone ! and we hope to see you at the next race, the Manchester League first fixture on Saturday 14th October at Heaton Park. (Note no U11's at this first fixture). Remember you have to PRE REGISTER for the Manchester League, (it costs you nothing though) so contact your coach if you haven't done so already. More details here.. http://maccl.co.uk/

Staffs Moorlands Summer Series 2017

Congratulations to Simon Harding who won last night's Shutlingsloe race, the third in this year's Staffs Moorlands Thursday Night Summer Series.

Full details of the series are here.. https://www.staffsmoorlands-ac.co.uk/our-races/summer-series - and all club members who train on Thursdays are encouraged to attend. Entry is on the night.

As an extra incentive, next Thursday's race, at Rudyard Lake, is close to a club member's house: rumour has it post-race cake may well be available.
